Andro Wear

Anonymous asked: dress shirt with sweater over it or dress vest and tie?

Depends on the weather and/or the function of attendance. Both are sexy.

Since it’s wintertime I am now freezing 100% of always. My solution is to live in sweatshirts, which I’ve decided can be worn everywhere from bed to dinner parties depending on if they’re dressed up or down. These sweatshirts are from Alternative Apparel, and are super soft. I bought them here on Amazon because they’re cheaper. AA does have some cool brightly colored versions of the baseball tee style sweatshirt on their site if price is no object for you.

Anonymous asked: I really want to get into adro, but my problem is that I have really big boobs. Whenever I try for any kind of button down look it just looks completely wrong. Guys shirts are usually too loose and girls shirts always tug in the bosom when I button them all the way up. Any suggestions?

I see this question about large hips/chest more than any other and if you google “curvy androgynous” there are a lot of people asking it, as well as a lot of different answers. This is mine: the trick isn’t pretending you don’t have a large chest or hiding it (unless you want to), but figuring out what version of androgynous style feels sexy to you. A lot of the images available of androgynous people are quite thin, but androgyny doesn’t have to be about making your body ambiguously gendered. Instead, it can be about incorporating whatever clothing, accessories, and shoes make you feel sexy in your skin regardless of which gender they’re being marketed to.

More practically, try out a lot of different things. Pair something loose with something tight. Try out vests and/or ties. Experiment with button downs with different cuts (personally I wear “women’s” and “boy’s” almost exclusively). Try tight pants and looser fits. Also, don’t underestimate the value of accessories (watches, hats, bracelets, ties) and shoes (loafers, brogues, oxfords).

Happy experimenting!

Another andro company!

Here’s another androgynous clothing company doing a Kickstarter soon! Also, they’re accepting applications for models and even if you don’t win the grand prize (of becoming a model) there’s a ton of other stuff to be won!

I really recommend looking through the entries they’ve received. So. Many. Hot. Queers.
